Abstract:

Bandar Abbas city includes a special architectural style in an area with hot and humid climate that, our predecessors had ingredients the knowledge of vernacular architectural features and their application in the city by thinking about the climate to achieve sustainable architecture and urban planning. As they analyzed and evaluated it in detail with three scales of urban fabric, single-building architecture and architectural details in order to understand the vernacular architecture in the city of Bandar Abbas as a sustainable model. To investigate this search, in a qualitative study several areas of the urban fabric with the existing buildings (60 buildings dating back over 70 years of age) were selected and analyzed. The results showed that in the scale of the urban fabric (factors of building form, skeletal neighborhood spaces) and in the single-building scale (orientation of buildings, green areas, central courtyard, communicative structure of the inner spaces) and for the architectural details (bars, thick walls, openings) are the features of vernacular architecture of the region which played an important role in the sustainability of Bandar Abbas, to develop the regional consistency with climate and knowing the construction approaches in architecture and urbanism they could achieve a suitable model for the construction in a hot and humid climate and provided it for new architects and urban planners.

Abstract:

Art is the true manifestation of the characteristics of the culture of any nation, and the flourishing of any civilization finds its reflection in the past tradition in art. In this position, the tradition of immutable principles is derived from culture, the manifestation of which can be seen at different times and places. From this point of view, any work of art, including architecture, is no exception to this rule,It contains a message that understanding this message means success in interpreting the effect. Part of this success is due to the discovery of hidden dimensions of the work (influential social layers) and the other part is due to the understanding of design. The research approach is quantitative and analyzes the spatial system in the native housing of Qajar in Isfahan with a combined descriptive-analytical strategy in case samples and logical reasoning using intertextual principles and space syntax technique. The results of the research show that with a comprehensive look at the spatial organization of Islamic architecture, it is possible to achieve a model of housing architecture suitable for the future of Islamic architecture in Iran.

Abstract:

Native architecture is an invaluable phenomenon that reflects cultural, historical, social, religious, and other values. Values hidden in native architecture of each city shows the frame of mind of its people. As a result, people's peace and quality of life can be preserved through preserving these architectural values, which requires knowing and recognition of cultural heritage and identity of the city. Changes caused by modern architecture in Iranian historic cities have weakened architectural values and identities. This study tries to make use of various approaches to preserve native architecture values and introduce it to people and show them how to apply them in modern architecture. It also seeks to find a way to apply values of Ardebil’ s native architecture in designing its modern buildings. The research method is descriptive-analytical and data is collected through field studies and library studies. The results include designing solutions for each of the constituent parts of the native architecture.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to present housing viability indices with an analytical study of the native architecture of Amlash city. The research method is descriptive-analytical in terms of practical purpose and qualitative research. The statistical population studied in this study is the residents of Amlash city, whose population according to the 2016 census of Iran is 15444 people. The sampling method is random and to estimate the sample size of Cochran's formula and 374 samples. In order to analyze the collected data, regression t-test and resonance fitness tests were used in SPSS software. To analyze the results of the questionnaire, statistical test T was used. The test results show that according to the citizens of Amlash, the environmental dimension has a higher priority due to the difference from the very low and negative average of 0. 6002, as well as the special value obtained for it at the rate of 5. 2, which is more than other dimensions. To lay the foundation for the viability of housing with the native architectural patterns of Amlash. Economic, social, cultural and environmental dimensions have a direct impact on the viability of urban housing with the formal patterns of indigenous architecture of Amlash city due to the amount of beta coefficients and significant results obtained. The cause of the negative beta coefficients and the lack of significance were lacking.

Abstract:

From long ago, water has been the most important element of development and reclamation in the world. The specific situation of water resources, heterogeneous rainfall distribution, frequent droughts and disregard to the principles related to the maintenance and protection of water resources have attracted the human’s creative mind toward themselves throughout the history. Therefore, various methods have been followed in order to discover creative and original solutions for this problem. Moreover, optimum applications of techniques for utilizing underground waters and more promotion of the related training have been considered. Excavating underground waters using Qanat, as an amazing hand-made phenomenon, has been interesting for many historians and researchers.Today, these natural, eco-friendly and stable systems are among the exciting educational and scientific topics in the advanced countries’ research centers and universities. Qanat is the persistent and hidden-in-the-soil heritage and one of the cultural and scientific Iranian treasures. In fact, Qanat is one of the most important native-born buildings in Iran which has been developed as the result of Iranian art and culture through the generations. Studying Qanats from tourism point of view, paying attention to the issue of education and holding training workshops can not only clarify a number of vague points of the native technology trend in this land but also advance economic, cultural and scientific developments in Iran.In this paper Qanat’s stable technology is studied in Iranian culture and its influence on the ecosystem and natural landscape is investigated. Furthermore, the issue of training promotion is considered to be essential whether from technical ecosystem aspects or from historical, cultural, economic and social viewpoints. Permanent utilization, revival and maintenance of Qanats as the human’s greatest achievement are analyzed aiming at expanding the related knowledge and technology, developing a new attitude toward it and advancing tourism.

Abstract:

Architecture arose due to human need for shelter and quickly became a basic expression of technical and social skills. Today, due to the influx of non-native cultures and the consumption pattern of the developed world to our country, the culture of modernity and modernity has replaced the original and traditional culture. Therefore, in different indigenous regions, without considering the valuable principles and rules of architecture left over from their predecessors, buildings emerged that not only did not break our sense of security, satisfaction and cultural boundaries, but also did not benefit in terms of construction quality. In this study, using a research method based on a questionnaire and Q factor analysis, out of a total of 20 experts, four factors whose values , , are higher than one were identified. By examining the answers, it can be seen that there are 4 mental patterns among architects, which indicates the existence of 4 complementary views in recognizing the physical technological elements in traditional architecture and their applicability in modern architecture. Findings show that climate, environment and space are very important in Iranian architecture, especially in Isfahan, and have been forgotten in contemporary architecture, which can result in many problems of mental and physical health and high energy consumption in the building

Abstract:

One of the problems that has arisen today is the crisis of increasing the use of fossil fuels. In this regard, the building sector consumes the most energy. Contemporary designed buildings following the modern world often have similar forms, while we can see from the investigation carried out in the traditional architecture of Iran, with a special artist based on local technology (taking into account the following criteria of culture and climate) has been formed, therefore, measures should be taken so that by achieving the principles and techniques of the past and matching them with today's architecture, it is possible to reach the desired quality with the minimum use of fossil energy in contemporary buildings. Different parts have been evaluated and then the potentials of native architecture and its impact on contemporary architecture and how it can be adapted have been explored. The purpose of this research is to provide methods so that architects can minimize non-renewable energy consumption with suitable climate design and respond to nature's patterns in order to provide thermal comfort to users. The research method used in this research is a descriptive-analytical method based on library and field studies, in the first step Mashhad region is studied. In the second step, the native architecture of Mashhad will be investigated, which will use the comparative comparison technique and logical reasoning strategy in this context, and in the third step, it will provide a solution for the design of office buildings in accordance with the climate of Mashhad, the results indicate that by applying climatic factors and inspiration from the native architecture of Mashhad, it is possible to reduce energy consumption, and suggestions have been made in this regard.   Extended Abstract   Introduction One of the pressing issues in today's world is the crisis of increased reliance on fossil fuels. In this context, the building sector accounts for the highest energy consumption. Contemporary building designs, influenced by modern trends, often feature similar forms. However, a study of traditional Iranian architecture reveals that it was crafted with exceptional artistry based on indigenous technologies, taking into account cultural and climatic factors. Therefore, measures must be taken to integrate past principles and techniques with contemporary architecture to achieve optimal quality with minimal reliance on fossil fuels in modern buildings. This research evaluates energy consumption across various building components and explores the potential of traditional architecture and its impact on contemporary designs, as well as how they can be adapted to current needs. The aim of this study is to propose methods that enable architects to design climate-responsive buildings, minimize non-renewable energy consumption, and utilize natural patterns to ensure thermal comfort for occupants. The research employs a descriptive-analytical method based on library and field studies. In the first phase, the climate of Mashhad is studied. In the second phase, the vernacular architecture of Mashhad is examined using comparative analysis and logical reasoning strategies. In the third phase, practical solutions are proposed for designing office buildings tailored to Mashhad's climate. The findings indicate that incorporating climatic factors and drawing inspiration from Mashhad's vernacular architecture can significantly reduce energy consumption. Recommendations are provided in this regard to guide future designs.   Methodology The research methodology employed in this study is descriptive-analytical, grounded in both library and field studies. In the first phase, the climate of Mashhad is analyzed, with climatic data collected for this purpose. Subsequently, indices such as the Olgy index and others will be utilized to evaluate Mashhad's weather conditions. In the second phase, the vernacular architecture of Mashhad is examined and analyzed using comparative analysis techniques and logical reasoning strategies. Finally, in the third phase, practical solutions are proposed for designing office buildings tailored to the climatic conditions of Mashhad.   Results and discussion According to a study of temperature and weather studies over a 29-year period in the holy city of Mashhad (1989-2017), the average of the aforementioned years is shown by month in Figure 11. According to the primary index, 6 months in Mashhad are below the comfort level, 2 months of the year are in comfort, and 4 months of the year are above the comfort level.   Conclusion Mashhad has a cold and mountainous climate that requires heating for 6 months of the year to achieve comfort, so it is appropriate to take the best performance and solution to meet this demand. If 5 to 10 percent of investment is made in reducing energy consumption, 50 percent of energy consumption will be saved.
